Speech and Language Services

Communication disorders can occur at any age and may be caused by trauma, disease or congenital conditions.

Over 42 million people in the United States are affected by a communication disorder. The greater number of these individuals – some 28 million men, women and children – have a hearing loss.

Another 14 million individuals have a voice, speech or language disorder.

Comprehensive Evaluation and Therapy

Community General Hospital’s Speech and Language Department provides comprehensive evaluation and therapy for individuals with communication disorders. Our Speech-Language Pathologists identify, assess and provide treatment for patients and work in conjunction with patients’ families, caregivers and other service providers in order to ensure the most effective and comprehensive treatment and management possible.
